The 49er FX is the new Olympic skiff for women which made its debut at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. It shares the same hull platform as the 49er but with different mast and sails. It has given top female sailors from around the world the chance to show off their skills in the skiff sailing, making for exciting and close fought racing. Both the 49er and 49er FX share the same global championship schedule.
